About the Artist

Minnesota-based artist, Donna Bruni, is known for creating abstract, atmospheric oil paintings on canvas. She uses broad, richly layered planes of color to evoke a sense of place within the canvas surface. Her paintings reflect temporal elements in our shared environments — weather, changing seasons, air, water, sky, clouds, land, light patterns. The compositions investigate edges, boundaries, movement and transitions. Conceptually, the canvases focus on perception of time and space, past and present, through the painting process. Travel in many regions of Italy, Spain, Central America, and the United States provide diverse visual references and artistic influences
